Acer Laptop Product Line

The Acer laptop (or notebook) product line consists of three separate models. Searching for a particular model typically begins by defining the screen size, an important designating factor of notebook styles.

The smallest screen size currently offered by Acer for a notebook computer is 12.1” which is featured in the Travel Mate series, a line of laptops suitable for office use. The next smallest screen sizes of 14.1” and 15.4” are available in all three series products. The 17” and 18.4” models are only available in the Acer Aspire series, a personal and small business laptop. Processor and hard drive selection will vary within the series and between specific models.

A separate line of products called Netbooks are lightweight versions of a laptop with screens sizes from 8.6” to 11”. Designed for easy mobility and personal or student use, these products are typically used for simple tasks such as checking email and surfing the Web.
